THE GOSPEL OF CHRISTMAS
PART ONE: CREATION
Christmas is more than the birth of Jesus, it began at creation. From the beginning Jesus stood ready to become man for the sake of mankind.
Part 1 was inspired by the following lyrics of Hark The Herald Angels Sing:
“Christ by highest heav'n adored
Christ the everlasting Lord!
Late in time behold Him come
Offspring of a Virgin's womb”
PART TWO: INCARNATION
Christmas is more than the birth of Jesus, it is God in the flesh. God became a man, Jesus Christ, and walked among us.
Part 2 was inspired by the following lyrics of Hark The Herald Angels Sing:
“Veiled in flesh the Godhead see
Hail the incarnate Deity
Pleased as man with man to dwell
Jesus, our Emmanuel”
PART THREE: RESURRECTION
Christmas is more than the birth of Jesus, it is the beginning of the end for death itself. Jesus was “born that man no more may die”.
Part 3 was inspired by the following lyrics of Hark The Herald Angels Sing:
“Light and life to all He brings
Ris'n with healing in His wings
Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth”
PART FOUR: REDEMPTION
Christmas is more than the birth of Jesus, It is God and sinners reconciled. “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
Part 4 was inspired by the following lyrics of Hark The Herald Angels Sing:
“Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled"
